Which projectile is the best?
There is no generally applicable answer to this seemingly simple question. The general conditions that need to be taken into account are too widespread. These include the type of game, distance, calibre, barrel length, altitude, etc. and the personal preferences of the hunter. For one precision is essential, others hunt to the limit of their shoots and are therefore dependent on short escape distances of the animals. For other hunters, minimal destruction of game is the main criterion. Guaranteed bullet exit holes and evidence such as hair at the impact location are absolutely necessary for hunters with hounds. Many of these criteria are difficult to combine. Some are even completely contradictory. Each projectile is therefore a compromise. The optimal projectile is therefore something very subjective.
